Eric Warmoth co-founded Project Super Bloom in 2021 to create a pathway for more students to get involved in state legislative campaigns via paid opportunities. Eric has worked on a number of campaigns throughout California and the nation, working to elect progressive candidates up and down the ballot. He recently completed a fellowship in the California State Assembly with Assemblymember Chris Ward. Eric graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2022 with a degree in Environmental Analysis and Public Policy.

Kathryn Maffeo is a student at UCLA pursuing degrees in Political Science and Labor Studies. Growing up in the conservative Central Valley of California, her enthusiasm for progressive policy is rooted in her experiences witnessing the policy disparities in her hometown. With foundations in grassroots work and years of political communications experience, Kathryn is a skilled organizer in both in-person and digital spaces. She previously worked for the California Democratic Party where she organized a large-scale GOTV rally where Vice President Kamala Harris attended and spoke to hundreds of community members.

Shiv Dagar is a freshman studying Political science and legal studies at UC Berkeley. He became interested in politics after the 2016 election and is passionate about healthcare, climate policy, and anti-price gouging measures. He intends to become a lawyer that specializes in antitrust litigation and consumer protection.

Jose is a senior at UCLA majoring in Political Science. Growing up in Los Angeles’s South Bay, he has seen firsthand the need for progressive policies and leaders who listen and value positionality to put working families first. As a first-generation college and transfer student, he believes that higher education is a driver of economic mobility and is committed to expanding access and creating basic-needs infrastructure to retain students. After he completes his degree at UCLA, he looks forward to beginning his Master's in Public Policy or pursuing a career where he can influence policies impacting working-class people. Outside of PSB, Jose likes to spend time with family and friends trying coffee or food.

Selina Mendez is a third-year UC Berkeley student majoring in Political Science and Cognitive Science, minoring in Public Policy, originally from Santa Ana. She is passionate about politics, racial equity, and inspiring youth to become more involved in civic life. As a proud Latina and first-generation student, Selina actively advocates for inclusive representation and community-based change. Her leadership experience includes student government, campaign organizing, and promoting equity-focused initiatives on campus. Selina aims to bridge gaps in access and empower underrepresented voices through policy, education, and youth advocacy.

Heather is a student living in Carson. They hope to get more involved in their community and encourage others to get involved as well. Heather enjoys sewing in their free time.

Mattea is currently a sophomore at UCLA majoring in Public Affairs and minoring in Theater. Hailing from Gardena, CA, her early exposure and involvement in community service and civic engagement ignited her passion for legislative advocacy surrounding education policy and racial equity – concerned with disparate educational trajectories amongst students living in disadvantaged communities. She is also interested in political psychology, conducting research at Stanford’s Deliberative Democracy Lab, wholly focused on democracy and public opinion polling, along with facilitating constructive political dialogue to combat increasing polarization. After completing her degree at UCLA, Mattea intends to go to law school in order to dismantle inequities and progress incremental change.

Elizabeth is a freshman at Chapman University, double majoring in Political Science and Spanish. She plans to go to law school and focus on either family law or estate planning. Elizabeth is interested in joining the Spanish and Latinx club at school along with running for a student government position. She is super excited to have worked with the city and I continue to seek opportunities that help her shape her community.

Amanda Gilbert is a third year at Sonoma State University studying Environmental Science with a focus in Policy. She is the treasurer for the Young Democrats chapter at SSU, and is passionate about pushing forward progressive politics and sees combining her involvement in politics with her passion about the environment as fundamental to being able to advocate and be part of reform in progressive environmental policy. She is passionate about the environment, income inequality, healthcare and housing, particularly as it pertains to environmental injustice. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, pets and spending time outdoors, particularly in a redwood forest.

Solimar Schmidt is a second-year at UCLA majoring in Global Studies. She first engaged in politics as her mom's “campaign manager” at age 9 and has been involved ever since. As the daughter and granddaughter of immigrants, she is focused on immigration, as well as affordable housing, climate change, and other crucial reforms. While she doesn’t know exactly what the future holds for her, she is dedicated to making a positive impact, whether at a community or global level.

Nicole Nunez-Rivera is a third year, first generation student at UC Berkeley, double majoring in Political Science and Chicanx Latinx Studies. Native to Stockton, California, her environment has shaped her interests around immigration, criminal justice, education, and civic engagement. Nicole is actively involved in the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC), serves as a non-profit site manager, and kick started a student organization dedicated to fostering a social space for individuals from the Central Valley. Post-grad, Nicole intends to pursue a career in public service with the goal of attending law school. Outside of PSB, Nicole likes to read, go to the gym, and exploring new cities.
